    Wer war Karl Theodor von Piloty?

    Karl Theodor von Piloty , geboren am 1. Oktober 1826 in München, Deutschland, gestorben am 21. Juli 1886 in Münsing, Deutschland , war ein deutscher Maler. Nach einer Reise nach Belgien, Frankreich und England begann er als Maler von Genrebildern zu arbeiten. Er fertigte auch mehrere Wandgemälde für das königliche Schloss in München an.

    Produktbeschreibung

    Poster mit dem Gemälde „Piloty Adam Portrait Elisabeth In Bayern“ des Künstlers William Merritt Chase aus dem Jahr 1853. Das Gemälde zeigt Prinzessin Elisabeth in Bayern im Alter von 15 Jahren hoch zu Ross. Das Gemälde war ein Verlobungsgeschenk an Franz Joseph I. von Österreich und hing rund 60 Jahre über dem Bett des Kaisers in der Hofburg, bevor es Erzherzogin Marie Valerie vermacht wurde. Karl Theodor von Piloty war ein deutscher Maler und Künstler, der 1826 in München geboren wurde. Sein Vater war ein bekannter Kunsthändler und durch ihn erhielt er seine künstlerische Ausbildung. Piloty studierte an der Akademie in München und war später Schüler von Karl Hess. Piloty ist bekannt für seine Historienbilder, die oft große gerahmte Werke oder Wandbilder sind. Sein berühmtestes Werk „Eid der Horatier“ ist ein Beispiel für seinen Stil. Er malte auch Porträts, wie sein Gemälde von König Ludwig I. von Bayern.
